The Bathroom is Important

Health Tip Week October 18-22, 2010

The Bathroom is another important issue that we do not talk about. We teach on Health and Wellness and the importance of living right and eating healthy. As a result of eating healthier you will begin to release toxins more frequently from your body.

I was asked a question about the Bathroom. A young lady stated that she can not go to the bathroom in public places or any place other than her home. She holds her urine and bowels  until she returns home.  She is presently experiencing severe stomach and side pains and occasional headaches.

I am not a physician but as a Health & Wellness Advocate and participant. I can assume that her problems may be as a result of not releasing on a constant more frequent basis.

Let's Talk

The bathroom is a place to release toxins. It is not suppose to feel or smell good and I know other than your home most bathrooms are disgusting but when you have to go, you must go! We travel throughout the world and because of our diets 30-40 minutes after we eat we have to release. I carry hand and body sanitizer every where I go and I rarely sit on toilets and when I have too I layer the toilet seat with paper.

We know this is not a popular subject but when you ask we respond.

Definition
The Bathroom is a room that usually contains a bathtub, shower, washbasin and toilet

Females and Males use the bathroom

The sink is a bowl-shaped fixture with faucets (cold or hot) used for washing hands or smalls objects.

The toilet is a plumbing fixture devised for the disposal of bodily wastes, including urine, feces, menses and vomit.

The first inside  flush toilet was originated 1775
1857 Toilet paper was invented and in
1907 the roll form was introduced

Remembering a Great Woman

We do not usually do this but we believe it is important to remember our start. The photo below is of Apostle Betty P. Peebles, D.D. (October 5, 1934 - October 12, 2010) the co-founder of Jericho City of Praise in Landover, MD by way of Washington, DC.

The Apostle Peebles "Ma Betty" help set the frame work of Cor-Les Institute, Inc. today in the vision of promoting Health & Wellness. Ma Betty allowed me to test (experiment) with  her on healthy meals, snacks, and smoothies many years before the company was conceptualized.  She would always say " Val I am not eating any grass or worms today."  At that time (2000) I was just talking about and  personally developing health strategies for anyone who would listen.

Today through my present Pastor Kwabena "Kibby" Otoo, Action Chapel Virginia, Alexandria, VA and years of research we are traveling throughout the world promoting and teaching  Health and Wellness through education and demonstrations.

Ma! Betty I/we salute you and we will see you later

Deodorant Versus Antiperspirant

Health Tip Week October 11-15, 2010

We receive a lot of questions and this one is good. A young man ask what is the difference between deodorants and antiperspirants?

Lets start with simple definitions:

Deodorant is a substance applied to the skin to mask or suppress unpleasant body odors

Antiperspirant is an astringent applied to the skin to help reduce sweat or perspiration

Fact sweat/perspiration has no scent it only has an odor (stinks) because of the bacteria that live on or under the skin.

You have to decide do you want to control odor or perspiration?

Some products that control both odor and perspiration:
  • Secret
  • Ban
  • AXE Men's deodorant
  • Dove
  • Toms of Maine
Another question for further discussion:

Is it okay to use an aluminum based deodorant or antiperspirant?
I am old school I believe you can never go wrong with using a baking soda or starch paste or sea salt and water combination.

Let us know what you use

Life Tip - Stay Focus on Self

Life Tip "Stay Focus on Self"

Sometimes it is hard with all of the outside forces (evil & whispering spirits) but if you hold on and believe God he will bring you through.
One of my favorite scriptures in this area is (paraphrasing) Isaiah 49:15-16 it says ...I know your name it is written in the palm of my hand and I know your walls...  This means God knows who you are and he knows your situation(s).

So hold on and remember that it is better to be peaceful than right, because the righteous will always prevail.
