Do You Know What Calories Are?

Calories are units of energy
Calories are what your body "The Human Body" needs in order to function, to get up in the morning, to go to work, take a run, exercise, and even to eat more Calories.

All food has a number of calories.
We consume Calories by eating food and drinking liquids, everything that we consume has a different caloric value, Calories are what fuel our bodies.

Do you know how many Calories you need a day?

                                               

 Sedentary or Active which one are you?

 Sedentary refers to a lifestyle that includes only the light physical activity associated with everyday life.



Active lifestyle includes daily activities equivalent to a brisk walk of 3 or 4 miles a day in addition to everyday light physical activities.

Beware of these high Calorie Foods

                           

Do you know how to Burn Calories?
  • Drink lots of water
  • Only eat when you are hungry
  • Eat healthy snacks throughout the day
  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Keep healthy snacks handy
  • Alleviate stress
  • Exercise do something fun and be consistent:
    • Walking
    • Swimming
    • Water & Land Aerobics
    • Dancing
    • Skating
  • Replace meat with fresh water fish
  • Increase fiber
  • Always eat breakfast
  • Avoid processed foods, alcohol and sugary drinks
