The summer is here and the smell of charcoal is in the air. But! we must stay strong and remember that after the burgers, ribs, potato salad and crabs are gone we still have to maintain our health. Try these healthy suggestions and let us know how you felt after you conquered the temptations.
- Grilled fish (salmon, tuna, halibut, etc.) with fresh vegetables (asparagus, green, red, yellow peppers, squash, zucchini, spinach, broccoli, etc.) be creative
- Grilled fruit (pineapple)
- Spicy Dark Leafy Salad (with raw vegetables and salad greens, almonds, pecans, walnuts, fruit (orange), flavored olive oil)
- Granola Dessert ( Doc V's special) use your favorite granola (cereal) and mix with fresh fruit ( raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and top with bananas)
- Drink Water only with lemon, coconut and cucumber slices ( put in large Thermoses)
