The Food Pyramid Do you Know?

Do you know what is in the " The Food Pyramid?

The Food Pyramid was developed by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) which provides a guide for basic food groups and combination.


Daily food groups consumption according to the Food Pyramid:
  • Grains - 6-11 servings of grains products are recommended per day
  • Vegetables - 3-5 servings of vegetables in a day
  • Fruits - 2-4 servings of fruit  in a day
  • Milk, Yogurt, and Cheese - 2-3 servings of dairy products are recommended per day
  • Meat, Poultry, Fish, Dry Beans, Eggs, and Nuts - 2-3 ounces per day of meat and alternatives are recommended
  • Oil - 5-6 teaspoons a day
