Joint Pain

Pain, swelling, stiffness, and/or warmth in your joints in the absence of an injury, pain in one or more of your joints often is caused by inflammation or infection.

Persistent pain or pain that occurs soon after a viral infection requires your doctors attention.


                      

Causes:
  • Injury
  • Disease
  • Degeneration
  • Fractures or Stress from over use
    • Tendon or ligament tears
    • Strains
    • Pulls
    • Cartilage damage
    • Tumors
  • Arthritis
  • Wear and tear
  • Weight and diet
  • Heredity
  • Inflammation of the joint
  • Bone Disease
  • Tumors and Cancer

Types of Joint Pain:
  • Ball and Socket Joints (shoulder and hip)
  • Condyloid Joints (jaw and fingers)
  • Gliding Joints (ankles, wrist and spine)
  • Hinge Joints (knee and ulna and elbow)
  • Pivot Joints (bones to spin)
  • Saddle Joints (back and forth and slide to slide motion)
  • Menopausal Arthritis (extremely discomforting ailment)
                                                        
Symptoms:
  • Pain
  • Swelling

Treatment:
