A quick reference
Cholesterol is a soft, fat-like substance found in the blood and in all body cells.
Cholesterol is present in many foods of animal origin and manufactured in the liver in humans.
It is essential in the body

A High Cholesterol level is bad because cholesterol can build up with other substance in the inner walls of your arteries.
The buildup is called plaque, this narrows the arteries and reduce blood flow.
High blood Cholesterol has no symptoms, and many people have it without knowing it.
Remember!
HDL (High-density lipoproteins) - "Good" Cholesterol
that bind to cholesterol and carry it through the blood streams. They keep the arteries clear and protect against cardiovascular disease
LDL ( Low - density lipoproteins) - "Bad" Cholesterol
that transport fats such as cholesterol in the blood. High levels of bad cholesterol are linked with the formation of plaques and cardiovascular disease
