How Do You Combat Depression

Life Tip "Combating Depression"



Let it Go!, Let it Go! Change what you can and let go of what you cannot. God is waiting to take it.
  • Pray, Pray, and Pray
  • Fast (seek directions and peace)
  • Laugh (crack up daily about something)
  • Relax and Meditate (go outside and look at what God has done)
  • Sleep (6-8 hrs.)
  • Forgive (self) &; Forget (others)
  • Remove (things and people that cause sadness)
  • Self Talk it out (evaluate your life not in a negative voice)
  • Confess your worries and anxieties with a trusted friend (only tell what you can have repeated even the best of friends tongue slips unknowingly)
  • Start a feeling journal and develop a plan to recover from your problems (keep it simple)
  • Monitor food intake and eliminate alcohol and drugs, sugar, and other processed foods
The bottom line is life is short but can be beautiful as you live. Enjoy it, it is the only one you have.

I try very hard to stay peaceful in the mist of confusion, talk to God when I do not understand, and surround myself with happy, loving, and confident people. I am not perfect but I am trying to get it.

The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; and accepting hardships as the pathway to peace.
