Simple Tips to Combat Cold & Flu

               


What is a Cold?

Cold is a viral infectious disease that infects the upper respiratory system. Also known as Acute Viral Rhinopharyngitis.

What is the Flu?

The word Flu is short for influenza is an extremely contagious respiratory illness caused by by influenza A or B viruses.

What is the difference between  a Cold and Flu?

The common Cold and Flu are both contagious viral infections of the respiratory tract. Symptoms can be similar but the Flu is much worse.

Cold and Flu Symptoms:
  • Congestion
  • Sore throat
  • Sneezing
  • Headache
  • Chest discomfort

Beware of

  • Get a Flu shot.

  • Wash your hands "a lot."                    


                               

  • Use alcohol based hand sanitizer.
                                                     
  • Avoid getting close to people who are sick. 
                 


Remember to cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and throw away the used tissue. 

  • Keep your surroundings clean.           




  • Be mindful of unnecessary hand shaking, touching your eyes, nose, or mouth. Germs spread this way.
                                                

  • Keep a healthy life style " Take good care of yourself"
   

  



          

  • Sanitize shared items (computer key board, cell phones, pen/pencils, door knobs, car steering wheel, water cooler, etc.)
